Tried to post this late last night, but couldn't get on the site.
Like everyone else, I began with a push on Thursday. Looking forward to the first real week of NFL.
7* Baltimore +5
The Ravens' defense will control the Steelers' iffy OL. Boller is a future star at QB. Hard fought, close game, with Baltimore keeping it close enough to cover if not win.
5* Jacksonville +4
If I thought about this one long enough I'd probably go with the Panthers. I've lost many games due to over-thinking. Consider this a play against the obvious and a vote for underdogs in week one.
5* St Louis pk
Rams just look too strong here; Giants don't impress me much. I'll be surprised if this is still at pk by gametime.
5* Miami -13.5
OK, I just can't resist this one. I tried to resist when it was -14, but when Pinnacle dropped it to 13.5 I just had to go for it. Can't see the Dolphins winning by less than two touchdowns.
I'll probably have another couple of picks late morning, before the early games start, and I'll post them in this same thread. Doubt that history will repeat itself, but last year on opening Sunday I went 6-0. In fact, I didn't have a losing week in NFL until week 5. Of course, that was then and this is now, so let's hope for the best.
I wish each of you the very best of luck!
